Govt Committed to ensure provision of adequate medical services to rural areas

Government has said it remains committed to securing medical services for people in all rural districts.

 

Labour and Social Security Deputy Minister Ronald Chitotela says people in rural areas face challenges of inadequate medical supplies, a situation he says will be corrected by the Patriotic Front government..

 

Mr Chitotela said this in Kawambwa today when he handed over medical supplies to Kawambwa District Health Office worth about KR15, 000.

 

The Labour and Social Security Minister is in Luapula province on a familiarising tour of projects in his constituency, Pambashe.

 

He expressed hope that the medical supplies which among other included bandages, medicine, and diagnostic equipment would benefit the people of Pambashe constituency.

 

And Kawambwa District Commissioner (DC) Ivo Mpansa has thanked government for the donation and assured that the medical supplies will be used for their intended purposes.

 

Mr Mpansa stressed that the donation would go a long way in meeting the medical needs of the people of kawambwa.
