Hailstorm leaves vulnerable children with no learning shelter

Kasama March 5, ZANIS —– A hailstorm has   blown off a roof of an orphanage school leaving vulnerable children with no place to conduct their lessons.

 

Blessings of God School Proprietors, Joyce Mutale has confirmed the sad development to ZANIS today that a natural calamity in form of hail wind and rains ripped off the roof of a 1 x 4-classroom block, over the weekend.

 

Ms Mutale revealed that 25 vulnerable and orphaned children from Lua Luo village are left in the cold and have no place to conduct lessons.

 

And Ms Mutale is appealing to well-wishers to help the school Management with funds or iron sheets to fix the roof of its classroom block.

 

She explained that the Pre and Primary School, which caters for over 25 vulnerable and orphaned children in Lualuo village and the surrounding areas started in 2007.

 

 

Ms Mutale  assured the would be well wisher  that classes  could  resume  as soon as  the  damaged  roof is fixed.

 

 Meanwhile Ms Mutale has called on families without children to adopt vulnerable and orphaned children roaming the streets as away of   helping reduce the increased number of street kids.

 

Ms Mutale  47, has had no child of her own hence opening the school for vulnerable and orphaned children in Kasama.
