Developmental projects pleases civic leader

 

Kasama, February 25, ZANIS —— A civic leader in Kasama district of Northern province has expressed happiness over developmental projects taking place in his area.

 

Chilunga Ward Councillor Peter Kauseni told ZANIS in Kasama today that Kateshi Coffee Company which had been closed for over three years is now operational.

 

Mr Kauseni explained that the opening of Kateshi has created employment opportunity for over 200 local people.

 

Mr Kauseni added that Ngoli Coffee Company is also earmarked to open up soon will employ about 100 local residents in Kasama alone.

 

He also said the two companies will not only concentrate on growing Coffee but also plant Wheat, Cotton and Soya beans.

 

The civic leader said the PF government has supported several projects which have been carried out by the use of Constituency Development Funds (CDF) amounting to over KR2,500.

 

Mr Kauseni said the biggest projects are the construction of Mponge clinic that will cost KR900,000, Kateshi 1x 3 classroom block and Chibamba community shed.

 

He added that others are Kapata Domestic club house, Kasonde Mutokwa and Ngoli women clubs that is likely to cost more than KR600,000.
