RENOWNED Mwila Musonda fondly known as Slapdee CEO and founder of XYZ emerged the hero of the night after scooping five Mosi musical awards in a roll of different categories.

The Zambian Mosi awards held at the new government complex last stole the lime light of the weekend fever in Lusaka’s central business area as many Zambian music lovers flocked in to cheer and support their favourite artists.

The show which was organised with international standards give everyone a reason to be part of the fan, many Zambian fanatics found their way to the Banquet hall where the show took place.

Categories Best collaboration, jazz, best female artist, best male album contemporary and many other categories which were too competetive for the nominees in each one of them.

The winner of the five awards slapdee, was nominated in seven categories and managed to win five of the categories in a role, he won the best hip hop, best male contemporary, best male artist, best male performer, best song of the year awards which followed gospel artist Pompi who won three out of the four categories in which he was nominated, Judy and exile won all the two categories in which they were both nominated.

Other categories included best female artist which was won by Mampi, best female vocalist won by Judy, best song of the year won by Judy, best reggae won by Miko Zulu, best dancehall won by Peterson , life time achievement won by the late Webster Malama and best album of the year won by copperbelts finest Macky2.

The occasion was graced with performances by the veteran artist Danny Kaya, Kay Kanyelele and pjay, who treated the audience to the some old Zambian music.
