Body discovered in a maize field

—–Police in Namwala district are investigating the cause of the death of Patrick Shuumba Ndemba a male aged 24 years who was found dead in a maize field on Tuesday this week.

 

Namwala police said Patrick’s body was discovered in a hidden area of a maize field in central Cooperative compound with blisters and bruises on the back and arms.

 

Southern Province Police Commissioner Charity Katanga also confirmed receiving the report from Namwala police saying police are investigating the matter to establish the cause of the death.

 

Ms Katanga however, said police suspect foul play as the body of the deceased was found in a hidden place with bruises.

 

The police has since urged members of public to help with information leading to the death of the deceased. 

 

The body of the deceased is lying at Namwala hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem.
