Sata mourns Paramount Chief M’mbelwa of Malawi

-President Michael Sata has sent a message of condolences to the Malawian government over the death of Paramount Chief M’mbelwa of the Ngoni people of Malawi.

 

President Sata said Paramount Chief M’mbelwa will be greatly remembered as a great traditional leader who dedicated his life to selfless service up to the time of his death.

 

The President, in his massage of condolences to the President of Malawi Joyce Banda, stated that Paramount Chief M’mbelwa will be solely missed by all who knew him for the ideals that he firmly stood for.

 

President Sata said the untimely death of Paramount Chief M’mbelwa is indeed a great loss not only to the people of Malawi but also the Zambian people as a whole.

 

“During the period of national mourning, we commiserate and join you in spirit, prayerful reflection and beseech the Almighty to grant the bereaved Royal Family and the entire Malawi nation His abundant mercy, solace and fortitude to bear this great loss,” read part of the message.

 

This is according to a statement made available to ZANIS by his special assistant for Press and Public Relations, George Chellah.
