The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) has conveyed a message of condolences to Republican President, Michael Sata and the families of the over 50 people who lost their lives in the tragic road traffic accident that occurred on Thursday in Chibombo district involving a Lusaka bound Post Bus.
COMESA Secretary General, Sindiso Ngwenya, said the death of the over 50 passengers is regrettable as it has robbed the nation of many industrious citizens.
He said this in a statement in Lusaka today and made available to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS).
Mr Ngwenya wished the surviving accident victims a quick and steady recovery.
“We pray that the Lord Almighty will comfort you and the bereaved families during this most trying time,” he said.
