Six Lozi chiefs join national tree planting at Limulunga Royal Village

At least six traditional leaders from various palaces in Western Province yesterday swung into action and demonstrated a tree planting exercise at Limulunga Royal Village.

The national tree planting programme has gained momentum as Royal Highnesses from various palaces in Western Province yesterday joined in the exercise.

The traditional leaders  who were led by Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister  Prof Nkandu Luo included the Litunga La Mbowela Imwiko of Nalolo in Senanga, Senior Chief Anang’anga Imwiko of Namayula in Lukulu, Chief Kandala of Yuuka and Chief Chengele of Nangóko palaces in Mongu district.

Others were Chieftainess Mbwanjikana of Libonda palace in Kalabo and Chief Kahare of the Nkoya speaking people in Kaoma district respectively.

And Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Prof Nkandu Luo told ZANIS in an interview after the planting exercise that her visit to Western Province was fruitful adding that government will soon embark on an ambitious sensitization programme in chiefdoms around the country.
