JOIN DRIVERN TAXI AS PARTNER DRIVER TODAY!A United Kingdom-UK- based company has allegedly swindled more than seven constituencies in Southern Province of millions of Kwacha in undelivered earth moving equipment.
The Public Accounts Committee has learnt that Techmaya ,a UK based company with Zambian shareholders, received money for earth moving equipment but has failed to deliver the consignment.
The vehicles were procured using the Constituency Development Fund-CDF.
The Committee, Chaired by Chipangali Constituency Member of Parliament Vincent Mwale, took to task Choma Council Secretary Mwiya Mwiya for remitting one point three million Kwacha to Techmaya without signing a contract.
Mr. Mwiya was at pains to justify the payment to Techmaya.
And the Committee has since resolved to summon Techmaya to appear before it.
And Chama North MP January Zimba has called for the arrest of people behind the company.
Mafinga MP Catherine Namugala described the transaction as scandalous.
