“When the forwards of drawings for a house in Swaziland with President Lungu’s name on it started flying around, I was sure it was fake and said so to friends.”

“Then, the whole Gov Spokesperson announced that the the land was indeed the President’s. Simply a gift from King Mswati”.

“Haaa! Me shocked! If is true the land is the President’s, that means the drawings of that humongous house are his”
“How can the President afford to build such a structure and in a foreign land? It can’t be from his salary.”

“How does he externalize the money? With empty reserves in the Bank of Zambia – is it right the President should be externalizing millions to build a mansion in a foreign land?”
“And should that land not belong to the Gov of Zambia seeing as he received it as a gift in his capacity as President”.

“People we need Access to Information law. Scary to imagine what we do not know. Maweee ba Lungu”

  1. when the Namibian government decided to give KK a house as a gift, it voluntarily announced and gave reasons for the gift. No one accused anyone of anything.
If the Swazi government did not voluntarily announce its decision to give land to president Lungu then Zambians have the right to be suspicious and angry given the high poverty levels and high taxes in the country.

  2. Good point to ponder!………“And should that land not belong to the Gov of Zambia seeing as he received it as a gift in his capacity as President”.
