President Edgar Lungu’s nationality debate has taken a new twist with some party leaders allegedly being followed or arrested by the police.
On Tuesday New Labour Party leader Fresher Siwale was arrested after a National Registration Card (NRC) purported to belong to President Lungu went viral on social media.
On the same day police allegedly searched People’s Party Mike Mulongoti office.
And Mr. Mulongoti says he is ready to go to court to prove that President Lungu is not a Zambian, adding that the arrest of Mr. Siwale is a clear abuse of human rights.
He wondered why the police searched his office the alleged NRC when he is not President Lungu’s parent or guardian.
