LUSAKA WATER AND SEWERAGE TO PHASE OUT PREPAID WATER METERS

Lusaka Water And Sewerage Company has disclosed that it is phasing out prepaid meters and removing them from households they were installed due to their poor performance.

Company Marketing and Public Relations Manager Patson Phiri says the utility firm is withdrawing all prepaid water meters that were installed in areas where this pilot project was being conducted.

Mr Phiri has told Phoenix News that a performance review is currently ongoing to ascertain why the prepaid water meters failed before new advanced ones can be installed.
