FAKE NEWS ON GRANTS AT MINISTRY OF FINANCE

1

The Ministry of Finance has learnt with deep concern that some unscrupulous persons have created a fake Facebook account *(Ministry of Finance, Zambia)* on which a posting calling for applications for grants has been made.

The information circulating on some social media platforms that the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with ADB and World Bank is giving grants is, therefore, FAKE and MUST be ignored.

There are NO GRANTS being given by the Ministry of Finance as such facilities are given through line Ministries for specified ventures.

For the purpose of clarity, the OFFICIAL Facebook Account is:

*Ministry of Finance, Lusaka, #ZambiaPlus*

In view of this, ANY OTHER NAME FORMULATION on Facebook is unauthorised, illegal, and must NOT be followed.

We sympathise with citizens who have been misled. We also thank the citizens who have been vigilant enough and have discredited the fake news on grants. The fake posting is a creation of criminal elements.

We take this opportunity to thank the faithful followers of:
*Ministry of Finance, Lusaka, #ZambiaPlus.*

This is an official notification.
