Patriotic Front National Chairperson for women Jean Kapata has challenged former Ministers accusing the government of being corrupt to leave the PF.

Ms. Kapata has wondered why former Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba and former Minister of Information Chishimba Kambwili are still holding on to the party yet are busy accusing its leaders of being corrupt.

Addressing women officials in Nchelenge District in Luapula Province, Ms. Kapata said women in the district should rise and defend the PF.

She has warned those leaving the party to refrain from issuing corruption allegations without evidence, saying the party is bigger than them.

Ms. Kapata has commended former Matero MP, Miles Sampa who recently rejoined the party for being man enough to accept his wrongs and advising others not to leave the PF because politics in the opposition is hard.

And Ms. Kapata said President Edgar Lungu is the sole candidate for the 2021 elections because he is easy to market.

She says a PF presidential candidate for 2026 will be chosen by President LUNGU from among his Ministers or party without any talk because he has the right to choose whoever he wants.

Meanwhile Ms. Kapata says no province should be requesting for the presidency, stating that selection is entirely for the president.

She has called on women in the PF to continue supporting party decisions and the Head of State.

And Ms. Kapata has reiterated the party’s commitment to empower women with various businesses.

And PF Deputy National Chairperson Susan Kawandami urged women in the party to support each other.

Ms. Kawandami has also called on women to ensure they defend the PF in Nchelenge.
