The Barotse National Freedom Alliance (BNFA) has called on President Edgar Lungu to disband the commission of inquiry appointed to probe the causes the political violence before, during and after the August polls.

BNFA First Trustee William Harrington tells QTV News that that this is because all the past commissions of inquiry have not yielded any positive results.

Mr. Harrington points out that the commission of inquiry on the Mongu disturbance as led by Dr. Rodger Chongwe, has up to now not been made public.

He recalls that Vice President Inonge Wina on the floor of the House, assured the nation that the Rodger Chongwe Commission of Inquiry Report will be made public saying this has not been honored by the PF Government.

Mr. Harrington says instead of wasting public funds on such inquiries, it is important that funds meant to pay the members are channeled to other needy areas.

He says it is for this reason that President Lungu considers to disband this commission also putting into consideration the current economic challenges facing the country.
