Good morning

We thank God for another beautiful day. We are greatly looking forward to more engagements.

Last night we had the opportunity to meet our adopted candidates on the Copperbelt and called on them to go flat out door to door and spread our messages peacefully.

We are happy they have all familiarised themselves with our 10 Point Plan which focuses on turning around the country’s economy.

We have advised them to stay away from hate speech, derogatory remarks, lies and slander against opponents as such does not help build the country, but to focus on issues affecting the nation at all times.

We also called on them to take the lead in voter education programmes for the electorates and being alert to protect the vote.

Our Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, who also attended the meeting, reminded our adopted candidates that Zambians are tired of messages of mere political rhetoric and empty slogans.

Meanwhile, UDF President Miles Sampa encouraged the candidates to focus on how the UPND’s vision will translate into poverty reduction.

We are very happy with the massive response and support accorded to us while on the Copperbelt and now we move to the Northern Province for similar activities.
