Opposition UPND says it has now finalized the list of candidates that will take part in the forthcoming generals election on its ticket.
Party Secretary General Stephen Katuka says this means that names of these candidates who will contest the elections at Parliamentary and local government level will soon be announced.
And Mr. Katuka has expressed concern at the manner voter verification exercises are being conducted in UPND stronghold areas.
Mr. Katuka tells QFM News that his party is particularly concerned by the short period of time that has been given to his party’s stronghold.
He says lack of publicity on the extension of voter verification by Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) in rural areas is also another discrepancy which his party thinks needs to be addressed.
