Collins Mbesuma has baged the ABSA Premier League top scorer award.

The Zambian striker bagged the award after scoring 14 goals in the league this season.

And Mbesuma’s side Mpumalanga Black Aces on Saturday edged out Free State Stars 1-nil in an Absa Premiership clash played at the Mbombela Stadium.

AmaZayoni leapfrogged Kaizer Chiefs into fourth position in the Absa Premiership standings following their win.

The home side began the match brightly and they managed to score just a minute into the game through Eddie Ngalo’s finish.

This is Mbesuma’s second time to bag the top scorer award in the ABSA Premier League.

During the 2004/2005 season Mbesuma netted an impressive 25 goals in the league plus ten in other competitions resulting into a record 35 goals in a single season which is yet to be broken.
