The opposition UPND has described as provocative President Edgar Lungu’s statement that political parties against the printing of ballot papers in Dubai should withdraw from their participation from the elections.

UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction and Development Moono Mapani says President Lungu should learn to accommodate other people’s views saying there is nothing wrong for stakeholders to question why the Electoral Commission of Zambia has insisted on printing ballot papers in Dubai.

He says the statement attributed to President Lungu on the issue of printing ballot papers in Dubai is unfortunate.
Mr. Mapani says citizens are free to express themselves on issues of concern.
