 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES

1. Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent (certified by the Examinations Council of Zambia)

2. National Registration Card
3. Voters’ Card
4. Tax Clearance Certificate (Should be obtained from the Zambia Revenue Authority – [ZRA])
5. Declaration of Assets and Liabilities
6. K75,000.00 Nomination Fee (All aspiring candidates will be required to make a 50 percent non-refundable down payment for them to be included on the Nomination Calendar)
7. One hundred (100) registered voters as supporters from each Province. (The 100 supporters per province will be pre-processed a week before the Nominations at provincial centers).
8. Letter from Political Party if sponsored by a political party
9. Declaration of compliance with the Electoral Code of Conduct

MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

1. Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent (certified by the Examinations Council of Zambia)
2. National Registration Card
3. Voters’ Card
4. Declaration of Assets and Liabilities
5. K10,000.00 Nomination Fee
6. Fifteen (15) registered voters as supporters from the Constituency
7. Letter from Political Party if sponsored by a political party
8. Declaration of compliance with the Electoral Code of Conduct

MAYOR/COUNCIL CHAIRPERSON

The nomination requirements for Mayors and Council Chairpersons will be announced later when the Electoral Act will be amended to provide the requirements.

COUNCILLORS

1. Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent (certified by the Examinations Council of Zambia)
2. National Registration Card or a Resident Permit
3. Council Tax Clearance Certificate
4. Nomination Fee (K2,000.00 for city /municipal and K1,500.00 for rural councils).
5. Nine (09) registered voters as supporters from the Ward
6. Letter from Political Party if sponsored by a political party
7. Declaration of compliance with the Electoral Code of Conduct.

NOTE

1. The Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent must be certified by the Examinations Council of Zambia before presentation to the Returning Officer.
2. The tax clearance certificate must be issued by the Zambia Revenue Authority or the Council as the case may be
3. Candidates must collect Nomination Papers and Affidavit from the Returning Officer
