Zambia’s preparations has intensified ahead of the upcoming Rwanda 2016 Africa Nations Championship(CHAN), this time set to shift training camp from Lusaka to Johannesburg, where a preparatory friendly match against neighbours Angola (who also qualified to 2016CHAN) has been set on dates between 12th and 14th January,2016.

Football Association of Zambia,spokeperson Mr. Nkweto Tembwe confirmed the development on Monday and added that more preparatory matches against top South African Clubs will possibly take place.

Coach George Lwandamina is expected to name the Final 23-man squad before the team’s departure on Friday January 8th, to South Africa.

Rwanda 2016CHAN will be the fourth (4th) edition of a tournament which exclusively feature players from their respective national leagues,and Zambia will be appearing for the 2nd time ,since its first edition in 2009.

The Chipolopolo boys are in Group ‘D’ alongside neighbours Zimbabwe,’tricky’ Uganda and ‘youthful’ Mali.

23/01/2016 Uganda vs Zambia(18:00hrs CAT).
27/01/2016 Mali vs Zambia(16:00 CAT).

  2. Zabia is not wel prepared,no serouis trainings we wer suposed to pray freindlies wth big teams like egypt tunisia,not tu ma club twamu south africa,they wil b booted in da quater finals,let us wait and see,da boys lucky serouis and entensive trainings,the team is blow power,
