Thieves on Sunday, 1st November broke into the Lusaka Magistrates Court Complex, barely a month after a similar break-in in which various items were stolen from the offices and registries.
Registrar of the High Court Mathew Zulu in a statement says while the motive behind the spate of break-ins is not yet established, it is suspected that those involved are targeting some Court documents.

Mr. Zulu has however assured members of the public that all case records are secure as the physical files are all digitalised and stored in the case management system called TRIM which has a back up at a secure location.
He explains that in the event that any case file goes missing, the file can be reconstructed within minutes.
Mr.Zulu has since assured members of the public that all exhibits were not tempered with and are securely locked up, and that court operations have not been disturbed.
He adds that Police are actively investigating the latest incident and collecting forensic evidence in order to bring the culprits to book.
