POLICE in Kitwe’s Ndeke Township have arrested two boys suspected to be members of a notorious gang known as `Tokota’, while six others are on the run after allegedly abducting a bus driver with intent to kill him.
King Kashupa, 19, of house number H995, was abducted on Thursday around 05:45 hours while picking up school children from Ndeke-Changachanga area.
The two suspects were in a group of eight boys when they intercepted Mr Kashupa’s bus before adducting him.
Copperbelt deputy commissioner of police Byemba Musole confirmed the incident in an interview Oct 1st .

“This bus driver was picking up school children in the early hours of Oct 1st when a group of boys armed with stones and machetes intercepted him at a bus station.
“The boys were eight in number. At first they had blocked him from entering the bus when he came out to pick up the children who were going to school,” Mr Musole said.
He said the driver managed to overpower the boys and quickly got into the bus, but that as he drove off, they intercepted his motor vehicle, pulled him out and bundled him into a Toyota Raum registration number ACR 8786.
Mr Musole said fortunately, Kashupa was with a friend who quickly alerted the police and a search was mounted for the boys.
Police managed to trace the motor vehicle the gang was using and when they approached the suspects, they scampered but two were arrested.
