THIEVES have broken into Bread of Life Church in Mufulira and have stolen property, including a Mitsubishi Rosa 24-seater minibus.

The suspects later abandoned the vehicle in the Chichele forest reserve in Ndola.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said in an interview on Sunday that the incident happened on Friday around 03:00 hours.
Ms Kasosa said the three suspects threatened to stab the security guard Samuel Zulu, 29, and tied his hands with a necktie.

“The suspects then allegedly forced Mr Zulu to lead them to the church building where they broke into the pastor’s office and demanded the keys to the Mitsubishi Rosa minibus registration number ACZ 2777, which was parked outside the church building,” Ms Kasosa said
She said the suspects got away with several items which include clothes and shoes.

“They also stole the minibus, which they later abandoned in the Chichele plantation and we have recovered the vehicle,” Ms Kasosa said.
She said police have instituted investigations into the theft.
