PRESIDENT Lungu is confident Zambia will beat Kenya in today’s 2017 Gabon Africa Cup of Nations Group E qualifier at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
Lungu is sure Zambia will beat the Harambee Stars.
The President was speaking last night at National Development Resource Centre (NDRC) in Lusaka when he addressed soccer fans that were scheduled to leave for Kenya this morning to support the Chipolopolo.
He urged the fans to rally behind the team as it takes on the Harambee Stars.

“You should support the team throughout the match.
“Don’t give up support until the last minute. I know Zambia will beat Kenya,” he said.
“I know that when you travel, you face a lot of challenges but I have spoken to the organisers. They have assured me that all is well,” the President said.

He advised the travelling fans to be disciplined and stick to their role of supporting Zambia in Kenya.
“Support the coaches; don’t interfere with their work and start saying ba chosamo mbuzi bangenesamo mbelele. Your role is to support.
“Let the coaches do their work,” he said.
The President said he wanted to meet the supporters to appreciate the

role they play in driving the team.
And Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Ronald Chitotela hailed President Lungu for finding time to meet the fans.
And Zambia Sports Fans Association patron Peter Makembo said the supporters are grateful to President Lungu for his support towards the development of sport.

Makembo also presented supporters’ attire to the President.
He assured the President that the fans will continue rendering their support to the team.
He thanked Government for chartering a plane to fly the supporters to Kenya.
