Malaya man killed, rectum missing

A THIRTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD man has been found dead in Mpongwe, Copperbelt, with a missing rectum and deep cuts on his right arm.

 

The body was found by Police officers on Wednesday this week.
Police identified the deceased as Jerry Kabange of Malaya Village in Chief Malembeka’s area. He was found in Chinondo near Ibenga stream.
Copperbelt deputy Police Commissioner Byemba Musole, who confirmed the incident in an interview yesterday, suspected the murder to be of a ritualistic nature.

 

“We have a murder case of a 35-year-old man identified as Jerry Kabenge. The case is suspected to be foul play as preliminary medical exams suggests being foul play,” he said.

 

Mr Musole said the body had since been taken to Ibenga Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, a woman from Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage was allegedly robbed of goods worth K690 by unknown people.
Silvia Jones was robbed of a bicycle worth K500, K120 cash and jewelry worth K40, all valued at K690.

 

Mr Musole said the suspect was canned with a homemade gun. Investigations have since been launched.
