Deal with UNZA now, Kaingu urged

National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) has urged the Minister of Education to intervene in the issues obtaining at the University of Zambia (UNZA) suggesting that the lecturers want to withhold the results after marking the exams.

 

NAQEZ Executive Director Aaron Chansa says if the lecturers withhold the results, it will cause impasse at the university thus precautionary measures must be taken so that such situations are avoided.

Mr. Chansa says government must make sure that it prioritizes the education system in the country citing that the two highest institutions in the country has faced a number of challenges for a long time.

He says it is high time that the government solved the problems that the two institutions are facing once and for all.

 

Mr. Chansa further states that education is a critical element in the economic growth of the nation and thus the need to prioritize it.
