Katete District Patriotic Front Secretary Moses Phiri has challenged party leadership in Mkaika and Milanzi Constituencies stop honey mooning but work hard as the ruling party prepares for next year’s general elections.

Mr. Phiri said there was no longer time for honeymoon for the newly elected leadership in the named constituencies saying the party has a huge task of mobilising and recruiting more members in readiness for 2016 General elections.

He said the District committee is happy and confident of the new constituency leadership in the two constituencies.

The District Patriotic Front Secretary said during the ruling Party’s meeting in Katete yesterday that the District committee,  Provincial and National leadership is expecting nothing but good performance.

Mr Phiri added that is hoped that the new leadership will immediately get down to work as there was not time for honeymoon.

Milanzi Patriotic Front (PF) constituency on Wednesday held constituency elections which saw the election of Daniel Lungu as constituency Chairperson, Khumbi Banda as Chairlady who went through unopposed.

Others elected were Edward Zulu as youth chairperson, David Mwale as Vice Information and Publicity Secretary to the main body.
