President Edgar Lungu has reiterated his call on shopping malls around the Country to consider local products.

President Lungu has also directed Commerce Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe to take impromptu visits to various shopping malls to observe the goods on sale.

He says it is saddening that shopping malls sell goods without considering local products.
President Lungu was speaking when he officially opened Embassy Shopping Mall in CHAWAMA Constituency in Lusaka on Monday.

He says the shopping mall complements Government’s effort in promoting economic diversification.
The President has since praised the private sector for the pivotal role they are playing in developing the Country.

And Embassy Shopping Mall Chairman Aki Vasikopoulos says he has already started corporate social responsibility through the construction of the office of the Chawama Member of Parliament.
Earlier, Chawama Member of Parliament Lawrence Sichalwe called for well designed roads leading to and from the shopping Mall.
