VICE-PRESIDENT Inonge Wina says Government shall endeavour to guarantee freedom of worship to all citizens as enshrined in the Zambian constitution.
Mrs Wina said it is for this reason that she is grateful to God for the political leadership that has continued to grant the nation freedom of worship.
She said this in a speech read for her by deputy minister in the Office of the Vice-President Bwalya Chungu during jubilee celebrations of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church in Matero.

Mrs Wina also urged the church to preach peace and love beyond all political, social and religious divides so that the country can continue to enjoy peace.
“Let us unite, let us continue to pronounce our motto of ‘One Zambia, One Nation’ beyond all imaginary boundaries,” she said.
She has called on the church to continue praying for the leadership of the nation so that it delivers to people’s expectations.
And Mrs Wina said during the 50 years of the church’s existence, it has enjoyed peace and harmony among its members.

She said it is, therefore, because of this that the Matero SDA church was able to open congregations in and around Lusaka.
According to Mrs Wina, this achievement could not have been possible without peace and stability in the nation.
“May I also use this jubilee celebration to urge my fellow Zambians, brothers and sisters in Christ all over the country to remain steadfast in the Lord,” she said.
The SDA was dedicated to the proclamation of God’s word in Matero on June 26, 1965.
