Chipolopolo Coach, George Lwandamina, says his record does not bother Zambia’s chances of winning because no two games are the same.

Lwandamina, the former national team defender, emphasised that what matters is how a team prepares and plays on the actual day.

The stand-in coach assured that the lads would deliver but ruled out underrating his opponents, Namibia’s Brave Warriors,  who are under a new coach after their COSAFA winning mentor resigned a few days ago.

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Communications Manager, Nkweto Tembwe, said in a statement released to ZANIS in Lusaka June 21st ahead of the afternoon’s battle.

Lwandamina has at his disposal a team which has a blend of skill, experience and individual brilliance.

Team Doctor, Joseph Kabungo, declared a clean bill of health for the team, adding that the boys are in positive spirits and are looking forward to a win.

Delegation leader, Jeff Chipilingi, who is also FAZ Executive Committee member, declared the team ready for the battle.

“The technical bench has assured me that all is well; we don’t have injuries or sickness.
I have also been watching the events unfolding here and can tell you that the boys are ready for this afternoon’s encounter,” Chipilingu told @fazfootball.com a while ago monitored by ZANIS Sport.

Chipolopolo had been having their training sessions this week to prepare for the win.

The Zambia CHAN squad this afternoon locked horns with the Brave Warriors of Namibia at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in the first round, first leg qualifier match of the 2016 Rwanda games.

Chipolopolo would be meeting Namibia for the second time in less than a month.

This was after the two sides settled for a barren draw in regulation time.

Chipolopolo were eliminated by the Namibian Warriors at the quarter final stage of the 2015 Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) regional tournament via a 4-5 penalty score line, three weeks ago.

Zambia’s probable first eleven includes Danny Munyau, Donashano Malama, Fackson Kapumbu, Bronson Chama, Christopher Munthali, Kondwani Mtonga and Justin Zulu.

Others in the line-up are Allan Mukuka,Winston Kalengo, Jimmy Njobvu and Jackson Mwanza.

The return match will be at Lusaka’s Nkoloma stadium next month on July 5, 2015.
