Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba says President Edgar Lungu only travels abroad when it is necessary.

Mr. Kalaba says Mr. Lungu travels when he is invited by his fellow Heads of State and when attending important regional and international meetings.

He says President Lungu was privileged to host an AU C10 Heads of State Summit which came up with recommendations that were adopted at the just ended AU Heads of State Summit in South Africa.

And Mr. Kalaba has told Parliament that the AU might table the issue of Sudanese President Orma Al Bashir at it’s next Heads of State Summit.

He also says the region is opposed to misunderstandings in Burundi following a third term bid by President Pierre Nkurunziza.
