Ballot papers delivered

Ballot Papers for the three parliamentary June 30th Parliamentary by elections are in the country.

The three constituencies where by elections will be held are Malambo, Petauke Central and Mulobezi.

 

Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- Public Relations Manager Chris Akufuna has confirmed that the ballot papers were delivered on Sunday night at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

Mr. Akufuna says verification of the ballot papers will take place Monday afternoon.

 

He has since invited all participating political parties to attend the verification exercise.

And Mr. Akufuna says the various political parties should fully participate in the electoral process starting with inspection of the ballot papers.

He says some political parties have been shunning this requirement even after being invited.

 

Only officials from the Patriotic Front, UPND and representative of a Florence Mwayopa an independent candidate in Malambo Constituency were present.
