Zambia coach Honour Janza says his bench has been steadily doing their homework on opponents Guinea Bissau ahead of next weekend’s 2017 Africa Cup Group E qualifier.

Chipolopolo will host Guinea Bissau in both sides opening Group E qualifier at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

“Research or no research the game has to be played but the most important thing is not how much we know about them but how much we are preparing; like for example do we have the manpower,” Janza said.

“We cannot dance to their tune they have to dance to our tune. The research is ongoing we have to know their old story and their current story and where they are going.”

Next weekend’s meeting will be Zambia and Guinea Bissau’s first-ever encounter.

Zambia’s other Group E opponents are defending Cecafa Cup champions Kenya and 2015 Africa Cup quarter-finalists Congo-Brazzaville.

Only the top finisher from Group E will qualify for the finals to be hosted by Gabon in two years time.

Zambia has also secured a friendly ahead of their Group E opener with a date against Ethiopia on June 6 away in Addis Ababa. Supersport
