It is with a sense of regret that I announce the mutual end of a relationship that has spanned a period of over two years of Reverend Jevan Kamanga serving as our National Secretary. The party has since appointed Mr. Mabvuto Mwanza to act as interim National Secretary and all communication to the office of National Secretary should be channelled to him.

As a Party undergoing re-organisation, NAREP will continue to strive to meet the leadership demands and expectations of our country. Zambia is going through great turmoil and uncertainty as we face crisis of confidence after crisis of confidence in the economic and political areas. Many of the challenges are not insurmountable but they need clear vision and determined leadership to steer through the obstacles to development.

As a Party, we have taken stock of our failings and believe that problems facing any organisation, if responded to with courage and conviction, can help over the long term to strengthen that which was weak and create a more effective organisation.

We assure the Zambian electorate, our members and our future generations of our unwavering commitment to the ideals and principles on which NAREP was founded.

Statement issued by the office of the party President.
