-A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has expressed concern over the wellbeing of the general citizenry especially in the rural parts of the country.
Sydney Muyaba Director for Team 7,500 said the organisation was created to pursue works of charity and spread them countrywide.
The original agenda of Team 7,500 is to take social and economic development to all parts of Zambia and enhance youth empowerment.
Mr. Muyaba said the Team 7,500 was aimed at sensitizing the nation on all developmental programmes that government was working on.
He said the Team 7,500 will also endeavour to advocate on behalf of the under privileged in society and help government identify areas that need urgent attention.
He said Team 7,500 further undertakes sensitization of the masses on the importance of voting and the promotion of voter registration.
Mr. Muyaba added that the teams’ core mandate was to strengthen and support democratic institutions and embrace a society where the rule of law was seen as a catalyst to make democracy a reality.
He also said the team plans to empower 185 youths countrywide.
