The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has appealed to President Edgar Lungu to appoint young people to positions of decision making the same way he has done with women.

YALI President Andrew Nthewewe says young people are expectant that the administration of President Lungu will be an inclusive government.

Mr. Nthewewe says government should also prioritize matters relating to young people among them creating employment opportunities, access to entrepreneurial resources and entrepreneurship skills.

He states that young people need to be given a chance to be part of decision making processes.

Mr. Nthewewe adds that government should work towards ensuring that young people have something to fall onto instead of wallowing in poverty.

He has further urged young people to fight for what is there’s and ensure that they meaningfully contribute to national development.
