—–A Clergyman in Kasama has urged Zambians to stop tribalism talks to avoid dividing the nation.

Pastor Shepard Mumba of House of Prayer for all Nations says it is important for Zambians to embrace peace and unity regardless of tribal inclination.

He told ZANIS today that the country should always remember the motto ‘One Zambia, One Nation’ in their daily lives.

Pastor Mumba noted that the general citizenry should appreciate God for the peaceful elections that saw the election of President Edgar Lungu as the country’s sixth Head of State.

He has since urged government to work closely with the Church in ensuring that there is healing in the nation.

Meanwhile, Pastor Mumba has commended President Lungu for recognising Henry Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people.

He said the decision by the President is a step in the right direction as it will foster a good relationship between government and the Bemba Royal Establishment.

Pastor Mumba observed that President Lungu has shown to Zambians that he is honest and ready to fulfil his campaign promises.

The Clergyman has since wished President Lungu good health and God’s blessings as he governs Zambia.
