—-Central Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ronald Sinyangwe, has pleaded with the youth in Kabwe district to lead Christian lifestyles.

Mr Sinyangwe made the appeal during a Church service for the burial of 19-year-old Greatson Kaputo who died in a tragic road traffic accident.

Kaputo was hit by an over-speeding car after the Patriotic Front President, Edgar Lungu, was declared winner of the 2015 Presidential election on Saturday.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary urged the youth to take a leaf from their colleague who was a strong and a dedicated member at Chimanimani’s United Church of Zambia.

He also appealed to road-users to be cautious on the road and urged the police to implement the law accordingly.

Mr Sinyangwe said the government was sorrowful on the loss of Kaputo and urged the parents and congregants to be strong in the Lord.

Speaking during the same service, Rev Oskin Siingwa encouraged the congregation to abide by the Lord Jesus Christ and look beyond the challenge of death in their daily lives.

Rev Siinga said people should put their trust and confidence in the Lord despite tragedies, such as death, to sustain their spiritual lives.

Speaking earlier, Patriotic Front District Chairman, Chella Mulenga, said the death of Kaputo was not only a loss to the family but also to the ruling party.

Mr Mulenga appealed to the road users to be alert whenever they were in transit to avoid such tragic accidents.

He called for peace and unity to prevail among the people from all walks of life even in such devastating situations.
