Patriotic Front candidate Edgar Lungu has continued narrowly leading his closest rival UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema with results from 146 constituencies now declared.

With the latest results announced by ECZ Chairperson Irene Mambilima, Mr Lungu now has 789,848 votes representing 47.96% closely followed by Mr Hichilema who has 776,832 votes repr
esenting 47.17% ,a gap of about 13,000 votes with four constituencies to go.

 

MMD’s Never Mumba has 14,104 votes representing 0.86%, FDD’s Edith Nawakwi has 13,872 votes representing 0.84%,UNIP’s Tilyenji Kaunda has 9,212 votes representing 0.57%,Fourth Revolution party’s Eric Chanda has 7,753 votes representing 0.47%,NAREP’s Elias Chipimo has 5,892 votes representing 0.36% with Heritage party’s Godfrey Miyanda amassing 5,650 votes representing 0.34% of the votes cast.

CDP’s Daniel Pule has 3,132 votes representing 0.19%,FDA’s Ludwig Sondashi has 1,992 votes representing 0.19% with Green party’s Peter Sinkamba has 1,382 votes representing 0.08%.

The four constituencies where results are being awaited are Chama North,Chama South,Mafinga and Mfuwe.
