HH leads in Chavuma

—–UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema, is leading in 27 out of 36 polling stations counted so far in Chavuma Central Constituency of North-western province.

 

Mr Hichilema polled 5, 391 votes, followed by PF candidate, Edgar Lungu, with 855 votes while Nevers Mumba of MMD got 201 votes.

 

FDD president, Edith Nawakwi, got 48 votes, Elias Chipimo of NAREP managed to poll 24 votes and UNIP’s Tilyenji Kaunda got 23 votes.

 

 Eric Chanda of 4th Revolution Party had 23 votes, Heritage Party leader, Godfrey Miyanda, scooped 12 votes while Dan Pule of CDP, Peter Sinkamba of Green Party and Ludwig Sondashi each polled four votes.

 

There are nine polling stations in Chavuma Central Constituency where ballot papers have not yet been collected.

 

The constituency has a total number of 16,881 registered voters.
