Chief Mpanshya Kalubangwe II of the Soli people is dead


Lusaka, January 18, 2015,ZANIS—–Chief Mpanshya Kalubangwe II of the Soli people of Rufunsa District in Lusaka Province has died.

And government has awarded contracts to contractors to build District Administration Blocks, Staff Accommodation for civil servants, Post Office, Police Station, Civic Centre in the four newly created districts of the province in the first phase.

Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II announced the death of Chief Mpanshya Kalubangwe II through Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Wamunyima Muwana in Lusaka today.

ZANIS reports that Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II announced the untimely death of the Chief Kalubangwe in an interview.

 

The traditional leader said the Busoli Royal Establishment and close family members agreed on the funeral and burial arrangement have been set for Saturday next week,24th January,2015 in Rufunsa District.

Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II who is also House of Chief chairperson said the late chief will be remembered for his vision and passion for development of Rufunsa District.

She explained that the late chief was instrumental in the allocation of land to Central Government for the establishment of Rufunsa District Township boundary where the district administration is taking shape.

Senior Chieftainess Nkomenshya Mukamambo II praised the late chief for being a team leader and for providing wise counsel to his headmen and women on land administration.

And government has awarded contracts to contractors to build District Administration Blocks, Staff Accommodation for civil servants, Post Office, Police Station, Civic Centre in the four newly created districts of the province in the first phase.

 

Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Wamunyima Muwana confirmed the development in an interview with ZANIS in Rufunsa.

 

Mr. Muwana said government has awarded contracts to contractors who have already moved on sites to build District Administration Blocks, Staff Accommodation for civil servants, Post Office, Police Station, Civic Centre in the four newly created districts of the province in the first phase.

He said the putting up of this infrastructure is aimed at accelerating development in the newly created districts.

Late President Michael Sata declared Rufunsa, Shibuyunji, Chilanga and Chirundu Districts in Lusaka Province in a bid to bring public service delivery closer to the people as possible.
