Kambwili assures Janza of a contract after CAF
Kasama, January 17th, 2015, ZANIS —- Sports and Youth Development minister Chishimba Kambwili has assured Zambia National Team Coach Honour Janza of a contract after the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Kambwili said this in response to Janza’s request for a contract before leaving for Equatorial Guinea.
ZANIS reports that the Minister said this in an interview with Journalists at Kasama Airport before the arrival of the Acting President Dr. Guy Scott today.
He said Janza has been coaching Zambia for the past six months but had never talked about his contract.
Kambwili wondered why the Chipolopolo Coach was raising the issue at a critical time like this when the biggest soccer tournament on the African continent was almost underway.
He warned that such negative utterances were like to demoralize the National Team.
He advised Janza to raise the issue after the AFCON tournament.
Mr. Kambwili further stated that he had resolved the matter with Coach Janza and they will finalize his contract deal when he is back from the AFCON.
The minister has since wished the Chipolopolo boys all the best in the tournament.
