Mordern market to be constructed in Ndola’s Mushili township

Ndola, January 15, 2015,  ZANIS—  Government says plans are underway for construction of a modern market at old Mushili market in Ndola.

 

Local Government Permanent Secretary Stanford Misichili says the old structures at the old Mushili market will be demolished to pave way for new structures to be put up.

Mr. Misichili said the new market will have a borehole and other necessary facilities that were lacking at the old market.

The PS said this when he visited old Mushili market where a new modern market was earmarked to be constructed soon.

 

Mr Misichili noted that the old Mushili market was one of the busiest markets in the city hence needed to be improved by putting up of modern structures.

 

And some marketers at the market have welcomed the move for the construction of the a modern trading place.

 

One of the marketeers Edina Miti said in an interview that the construction of the modern market will help in the provision of proper facilities and also improve security at the market especially for
those with temporal shelters.
