Education authorities in Isoka dispel rumours that schools will not open on Monday

Isoka, January 10, ZANIS—Educational authorities in Isoka District in Muchinga Province have dispelled rumours currently being circulated among the parents and teachers that schools will not open on Monday.

Isoka District Education Board Secretary Kelby Chizyuka told ZANIS today that she has not received any correspondence form the ministry stating that the school shall not open on Monday 12th January 2015.

Mrs Chizyuka explained that as the situation remains the school will open on Monday.

Meanwhile, Mrs Chizyuka has since appealed to school head teachers in Isoka district not to turn back pupils that have not met their school requisites.

She said head teachers must understand the community they are living in that they depend on money acquired from selling maize.

Mrs Chizyuka noted that some peasant farmers as still being paid their money at Isoka Finance Bank.

And Mrs Chizyuka has since urged learners that they should report on to school this coming Monday without fail as learning begins there and then.
