Scott expected in North-western Province tomorrow

Solwezi, January 7, ZANIS—Acting President Guy Scott is tomorrow expected in North-western province for a three day official visit.

Dr Scott is expected to land at Solwezi airport at about 14:00 hours and will meet traditional leaders in Solwezi thereafter inspect the construction sites of the fuel tanks and the veterinary laboratory.

Dr Scott is also expected to visit the Pave Zambia 2000 block making site.

According to a tentative programme released by the provincial administration and obtained by ZANIS today, Dr Scott will on Friday fly to Ikeleng’e district for the ground breaking ceremony of the district hospital.

Dr Scott will then meet traditional leaders before holding a public meeting then later proceed to Kasempa district for another public meeting.

The acting president will end his tour on Saturday with a visit to Chavuma where he will check on works at the district hospital and police station then fly back to Solwezi for a public rally at the Solwezi show grounds.

  1. The state of the chingola-solwezi road is pathetic and yet this people want votes.Lungu should have gone there himself for people to see him and not Scout whom they already know.You mean People wil be voting for somebody they have never seen.
