Sports deputy minister Christopher Mulenga has expressed optimism that the senior national soccer team will excel at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

Mulenga said Zambia’s 2015 Africa cup team is extremely talented and has the technical ability to be continental champions for a second time.

He said government will fully support Chipolopolo’s campaign at the three week continental show piece that kicks off on January 17 to February 8, 2015.

The 2012 African Champions have been pitted against North African gianta Tunisia, emerging force Cape Verde and neighbouring former champions Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The Honour Janza tutored squad takes on Bafana Bafana in a preparatory friendly match in South Africa on January 4, 2015.

Bafana Bafana have been impressive in their qualifying games having topped their group without losing a match and FAZ believes the 1996 African Champions will test Chipolopolo’s preparedness.

However, Janza has maintained that Chipolopolo is in a rebuilding process and has not set any targets for the team.
