The Greatlakes Women Refugees Association in Zambia “GWRAZ” in conjunction with Lusaka based Rwandese Community has embarked to share knowledge with Zambians like improving housing by using building materials locally available as clay soil, soil and trees. It is against this background the same group has started to build a house as a demonstration; the said house is built in the backyard of Lusaka Archdiocese Chongwe St Paul Parish situated in Chieftainess Nkomesha Mukambo II chiefdom and on Sunday, December 21st, 2014 there was an “unveiling” of a house so the local community can learn the way it can improve its housing: the roofing is made up of “Clay soil” tiles and the walls of “adobe bricks”.
