Lungu promises to resolve all issues surround the Chitimukulu chieftaincy

Patriotic Front president Edgar Lungu says he will not fail to deliver development to Northern Province and the country as a whole if elected republican president.
Meanwhile, the PF candidate has promised to resolve all issues surround the Chitimukulu chieftaincy.
Mr Lungu told a mammoth rally at president’s park in Kasama yesterday that he would provide quality leadership in the running of the country.
Mr Lungu, who is also Defence and Justice Minister, said when voted into power, he would ensure the establishment of a university in Northern Province in order to enhance education standards in the area.

He also promised a construct a modern sports stadium in Kasama in appreciation of the numerous football talent from the province.
Mr Lungu further said he will work closely with the members of parliament to steer development in all the constituencies.
If voted into power he will embrace the vulnerable and the poor to make their livelihoods better.
Meanwhile, Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba urged people in Kasama to vote in mass for Mr Lungu for continuity of the vision of late president Michael Sata.
Mr Lungu was accompanied by PF national chairperson Inonge Wina, Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda, Mines Minister Christopher Yaluma and other senior PF officials.
Meanwhile, Mr Lungu has stated that all outstanding issues affecting the Chitimukulu chieftaincy will be resolved.

Speaking when he met Paramount Chief Chitimukulu at Chitimukulu in Mungwi District, Mr Lungu said his role was to enhance good relations between Government and traditional authorities.
He said Chiefs in the country were custodians of people’s interests and concerns.
Bemba Royal Establishment (BRE) known as Bashilubemba expressed concern that the recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu had taken long.
