Luwingu District Hospital receives three Christmas babies

Luwingu, December 25,  ZANIS——————————- Luwingu District hospital has recorded three Christmas babies born between 07:26 and 11:00 hours.

 

Ministry of Community Development Mother and Child Health District Officer Ernest Mutale disclosed that the hospital has since donated various baby clothing which include napkins, chitenge materials and baby coats to the babies.

Dr Mutale explained that the hospital has for the first time recorded the highest number as compared to the previous years.

Doctor Mutale who was accompanied by Doctor Bikilizwe Mushanga and a nurse on duty Susan Daka revealed that two other babies were born yesterday around 23:00 hrs.

And the mothers who received Christmas gifts have thanked government for the gesture of good will and love shown to their babies saying that this gesture will last long in their hearts.

Speaking on behalf of mothers, Alice Mwinta who delivered a 3.5kg bouncy baby boy thanked medical staffs for the gift.
